What is Positive Horse Agility
Horse Agility is a fantastic way to have fun with your horse without having to ride him that is growing in popularity. Horse agility is also great for horses that are unable to be ridden, young horses, for people who can’t or don’t want to ride and horse agility is just a great way to do something different with your horse.
Positive horse agility is where we teach the horses about Horse Agility using positive reinforcement, or clicker training. Its a great way to build precision and detail in to each obstacle, as well as balance (physical and emotional), effective and safe transports, and also teach the horse to work independently from the handler yet remain connected for directions.
Positive Horse agility with S.M.A.A.R.T. Horses gives people the chance to find positive ways to interact with their horse creating a wonderful bond. Just like dog agility, in horse agility the horse completes a course of obstacles, sometimes on a lead rope and sometimes at liberty.
